Never lose another job to a missed call.

Relay Systems builds automation for home service contractors in Northern Virginia. We start by making sure no call goes unanswered — then we handle the follow-up, the reviews, and the customers you've already got.

2:47 PM

Hi, sorry we missed your call — this is Relay Systems. We'll get right back to you. What can we help with?

2:49 PM

Yeah my roof is leaking over the garage, can someone come look today?

Automation for contractors

Relay Systems is an automation agency for home service contractors — roofers, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other trades where the owner is on a job site instead of at a desk. We set up the systems that keep work from slipping through the cracks: calls that go unanswered, leads that go cold, customers who never get asked for a review.

We handle the full setup: phone system configuration, carrier registration, automation build, and the mobile app your team uses to reply. You keep your existing business phone number, and your team doesn't have to learn new software.

Relay Systems is owned and operated by Mohamed Mohamed and serves contractors throughout Northern Virginia and the greater Washington, D.C. area.

Where we start: missed call text-back

Our core service is automatic missed-call text-back. When someone calls your business line and the call isn't answered — because you're on a roof, under a sink, or driving between jobs — our system automatically sends that caller a text message from your business number within seconds. The message acknowledges the missed call and invites them to reply with what they need.

The customer can text back and describe the job. That reply lands in your inbox and on your phone, so you can answer when you come down off the ladder instead of losing the lead entirely.

How it works

  1. 2:47 PM

    A customer calls your business

Someone with a leaking roof or a dead air conditioner finds you online and calls your number.

  2. 2:47 PM

    The call goes unanswered

You're on a job, on another call, or it's after hours. The call rolls to voicemail — and most people don't leave one.

  3. 2:47 PM

    We text them back automatically

Within seconds, that caller receives a text from your business number letting them know you saw the missed call and asking what they need.

  4. 2:49 PM

They reply, and you win the job

Their response arrives in your inbox and on your phone. You answer when you're free. The customer stays with you instead of calling your competitor.

What else we handle

Missed call text-back is where most contractors start, because it's the fastest money found. Once it's running, these are the next things we set up.

Lead follow-up

A new caller who doesn't book right away usually doesn't get called again. We set up automatic follow-up over the days after first contact, so the people who were interested but busy actually hear from you a second time.

Review requests

Google reviews are how the next customer finds you. We send a review request automatically after a job is marked complete, so you stop having to remember — and stop leaving reviews on the table.

Past customer reactivation

The cheapest work you'll ever win is from someone who already paid you once. We reach back out to your existing customer list with seasonal reminders and maintenance offers.

Appointment reminders

Automatic text reminders before a scheduled visit, so you spend less time driving to houses where nobody's home.

Every contractor's setup looks a little different. We start with the thing that's costing you the most and build from there.

Who we work with

Relay Systems works best for small contracting businesses where the owner or a small crew handles both the work and the phone:

  • Roofing contractors
  • HVAC installation and repair
  • Plumbing services
  • Garage door repair
  • Water damage and restoration
  • General home services and remodeling

If you have a full office staff handling calls, follow-up, and reviews, you probably don't need us. If any of that is falling to you between jobs, we can take it off your plate.

SMS messaging program

Relay Systems operates an SMS messaging program for customer service and transactional communication. This section explains how that program works.

What messages we send. Messages are customer care and service-related. They include automated replies to missed phone calls, responses to inquiries submitted through our website chat widget, appointment and scheduling coordination, and follow-up communication about an existing request. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.

Who receives messages. Only people who have contacted us first. There are two ways this happens: a person calls our business phone number, or a person submits an inquiry through the chat widget on this website and provides their mobile number.

How consent is collected. When you submit your phone number through the chat widget on this website, you are giving express consent to receive text messages from Relay Systems at that number regarding your inquiry. The chat widget displays this consent language at the point of submission. Consent is not a condition of purchase. When you call our business phone number and the call is not answered, you may receive a single automated text reply acknowledging your call.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. Most people receive only a handful of messages related to their specific inquiry.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Relay Systems does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages after that.

How to get help. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the details below.

Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
